1–2φαίνεταί μοι κῆνος ἴσος θέοισιν ἔμμεν᾽ ὤνηρ,
That man seems to me to be equal to the gods,
2–4ὄττις ἐνάντιός τοι ἰσδάνει καὶ πλάσιον ἆδυ φωνεί-σας ὐπακούει
whoever sits opposite you and, close by, listens to you speaking sweetly
5–6καὶ γελαίσας ἰμέροεν, τό μ᾽ ἦ μὰν καρδίαν ἐν στήθεσιν ἐπτόαισεν·
and laughing desirably — a thing which truly has set the heart in my breast fluttering;

for whenever I glance at you for a moment, then it is no longer possible for me to say even one thing,

Questions

Answer before opening the key. Every answer here is taken from the text’s own analysis, so it cannot drift out of step with the passage above.

1.parsing

Parse ἔμμι.

Show the answer
εἰμί (Lesbian ἔμμι) — verb, present active indicative, 1st singular
Lesbian ἔμμι for εἰμί, the finite counterpart of the infinitive ἔμμεν᾽ in line 2 (be)
2.parsing

Parse εἴκει.

Show the answer
εἴκει (impersonal) — verb, present active indicative, 3rd singular
Campbell: perhaps 'it is possible', like παρείκει, with the infinitive φώναισ(αι) — though there is no other example of εἴκω used impersonally, and he floats εἴκει standing for ἴκει, 'nothing comes to me to speak'. Either way the verb is impersonal and the infinitive is its subject (it is possible)
3.parsing

Parse τεθνάκην.

Show the answer
θνῄσκω (Lesbian perf. inf. τεθνάκην) — verb (infinitive), perfect active infinitive
Lesbian -ην for -έναι: τεθνάκην = τεθνηκέναι, with ᾱ for η in the stem as well. It is the infinitive with φαίνομ᾽, so 'I seem TO BE DEAD' — and the perfect means the state of being dead, not the act of dying (be dead, have died)
